Countryway Golf Club is a difficult executive golf course with lovely undulating greens and fairways with water hazards on 14 holes. Countryway's par 61 course, built by nationally renowned architect Steve Smyers, features seven par 4s and eleven par 3s. Countryway is recognized for its low prices and was chosen the "Best Bargain Golf Course in Tampa Bay" by Daily Planet readers. The Sherlock and Creighton families are the owners of Countryway. David Creighton played in the NHL for the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Chicago Blackhawks. His son Adam also played in the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, and St. Louis Blues.
