This preserve provides access to the Little Manatee River for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. This preserve includes a well shaded trail that is ideal for enjoying a day outdoors. Vegetation communities represented here include bottomland swamp, forested wetlands, pine flatwoods, oak hammock and marsh. The eastern loop trail is 2.7 miles and the western loop trail is 2.5 miles in length. To gain access to the trailheads, you must walk across the bridge that spans the river from the parking area.
