The dog park is the result of Volusia County's Parks, Recreation, and Culture Division taking action after a poll revealed a high level of community demand for new dog parks. All county parks allow dogs, but they must be kept on a leash at all times. Shaded spaces, dog wash stations, dog water faucets, seats, and picnic tables are all available in the park.
